The SilverStar T5 fluorescent fixture uses high sufficiency, digital electronic ballast to power the NEW high output T5 fluorescent lamps. The SilverStar features a low profile and a very low heat allowing it to be placed close over the tops of plants. Placing the SilverStar High Output Fluorescent fixture close to the tops of plants provides a very intense, bright light over the area. The large area of light dispersal coupled with the intense light is what makes T5 high output fluorescents very comparable to the light output of a High Intensity Discharge (HID) system like Metal Halide (MH) or High Pressure Sodium (HPS). The SilverStar T5 fixtures can be used as a vegetative growth or full term grow light, placed vertically beside plants to help fill out plant growth underneath the canopy or to supplement HID fixtures. The SilverStar`s innovative design places an air gap between the lamps and ballast housing allowing the unit to operate at cooler temperatures and increased lumen output, The high efficiency 95% reflector is angled out to provide maximum light coverage.
